Demopolis murder

The body of missing Demopolis woman Sabrina Danielle Harbin was found Friday afternoon by Demopolis law enforcement and a man has been charged with her murder.

Demopolis police reported on Friday that investigators arrested Michael Moses in Eutaw and charged him with Harbin’s murder. Moses is in the Marengo County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing. Police did not release a motive.

According to police, Harbin was reported missing at 11 p.m. Feb. 13 after she did not return to her home at MySpace Apartments on West Jackson Street.

Officers with Demopolis police’s 17th Judicial Circuit Task Force and firefighters from the Demopolis Fire Department searched for Harbin for days using boats, drones and other equipment. Meanwhile, investigators searched for information about her whereabouts.

At 1 p.m. on Friday, her body was located floating in water in the area. The Demopolis Fire Department recovered and transported the body to the Department of Forensic Sciences for further examination, according to the police report.

At 3:21p.m., investigators went to Eutaw and located Michael Moses Brown and brought him back to Demopolis for questioning and later charged him with murder.

Demopolis police listed the following for giving assistance in the investigation: Greg Griggers’ 17th Judicial Task Force, Demopolis Fire Department, Alabama Game and Fish, Alabama State Bureau of Investigation Latent Print Unit, Marengo County Sheriff’s Department, Greene County Sheriff’s Department, Eutaw Police Department and Equusearch Midwest.
