Marion Military Institute's (MMI) softball team was honored with several postseason awards from the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC).Â
The ACCC is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and Region XXII. With 21 members there are more than 105 individual teams with more than 2,100 student-athletes.Â
The following from the MMI team won:Â
- Head Coach Jeff Benson - ACCC North Coach of the Year.
- Sophomore pitcher Kinley Bolton - ACCC North Pitcher of the Year and Region 22 Pitcher of the Year.
- Freshman shortstop Karlee Pierson - ACCC North and 1st Team All-Region.
- Freshman outfielder Alexandra Erwin - ACCC North and 2nd Team All-Region.
- Freshman first baseman Avary Lumpkin - ACCC North and 2nd Team All-Region.
