Montgomery Fire/Rescue takes home Firefighter Challenge National Championship win

The Montgomery Fire and Rescue (MFR) Combat Challenge team emerged as the national champions after a competition in Oklahoma City. 

The MFR team competed against almost 150 athletes and 50 teams from throughout the nation and finished first in the Relay Bracket at 1:10.53. 

MFR firefighters also took part in the Individual Competition, placing fifth; as well as the Showdown, placing third and the Tandem Event where they placed fourth and third. 

"We are proud of each competitor for pushing themselves to new limits and representing Montgomery with excellence," said a post on MFR's social media. "Congratulations to all!"
