First responders from the Montgomery Fire & Rescue department have put out a blaze that broke out at a building on Friday.

An announcement online stated that the fire took place at a commercial building in the area of Mildred Street and Sayre Street.

The incident was declared an alarm 3 commercial fire and took almost three hours to contain, said the announcement. No civilians or firefighters were injured during that time.

An investigation is now underway to determine what caused it.

"Thank you to everyone who avoided the area and helped keep our crews safe," said the announcement. "Your support makes a difference."
