A man from Montgomery was arrested on a charge of second degree kidnapping after what was reportedly a misunderstanding over money.Â
According to WSFA, a woman called police to a gas station where she told them that a man had held her and two others at gunpoint in the 3200 block of Alan Lane.Â
Police were told that she and her uncle had gone to the residence earlier to buy drugs. There, Aldric Patterson, 56, asked her to buy him beer, which she did and picked up her mother before returning.Â
After returning Patterson allegedly fired a gunshot in the house when he accused them of stealing $600 before forcing them inside at gunpoint and demanding the money back.Â
The female victim said that she convinced Patterson to allow her to go to an ATM. When she arrived at the gas station she called police, who then went to Alan Road to arrest Patterson.Â
Two of the people at the scene declined to press charges, though the female victim did so. Patterson reportedly denied the allegations.Â
He was placed at the Montgomery County Detention Center on a $20,000 bond. He has been charged with one count of second degree kidnapping.Â
