A man from Montgomery has pleaded guilty to the murder of a woman and the attempted murder of a man in 2022, said a statement from the District Attorney Azzie Oliver's office.

According to the statement the incident took place on Sept. 26 that year in a residential area near Virginia Loop Road.

A white Tahoe pulled up near the victims, Britney Bohannon and Anthony Ervin, in the middle of the 3100 block of Fredricksburg Drive. Denikko White was one of the occupants in the vehicle when they began shooting.

Bohannon and Ervin were both struck and later taken to a hospital. While in surgery Bohannon passed away while Ervin sustained injuries that had a "lasting impact," said the statement.

White will be sentenced in a future hearing.

“Gunning down someone in the middle of the street is absolutely cold, cruel and despicable," said Oliver in the statement. "My office is dedicated to making sure Denikko White’s sentence reflects the consequences of committing this heinous, violent act. We will do everything in our power to make sure justice is served for the victims.”
