A man from Montgomery was sentenced to 402 months - more than 33 years - in a federal prison for reportedly perpetrating a three-day robbery spree in January 2025.
A statement from U.S. Attorney Thomas Govan said that the defendant, Perrion Savage, 20, was sentenced on Oct. 21.
The statement cited a plea agreement and court records that say Savage robbed four gas stations between Jan. 28 and Jan. 30, 2025. They occurred on South Perry Street, Wares Ferry Road, Jackson Ferry Road, and Zelda Road.
In the first robbery Savage reportedly fired a gun in the store after becoming inpatient with the cashier. The statement said that he fired a gun three times in a store during the second robbery.
He is said to have brandished a firearm in the last two robberies.
“This crime spree put gas station employees and the public at risk as the defendant used a firearm to carry out robberies at four locations across Montgomery,” said Govan.
“His decision to fire shots during two of the robberies underscores the danger these crimes pose to our community. The U.S. Attorney’s Office remains committed to working with our law enforcement partners to hold violent offenders accountable and protect the safety of the people we serve.”
He pleaded guilty to four counts of Hobbs Act robbery, two counts of discharging a firearm during a crime of violence, and one count of brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence on May 28 this year.
“Perrion Savage’s violent actions during this crime spree put innocent people in danger,” said FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Jordan Hadfield. “This sentence reflects the seriousness of his offenses and reinforces our commitment to working with the Montgomery Police Department and our federal partners to protect the community and hold violent offenders accountable.”
He will serve five years of supervised release after this stint in prison expires.
