Montgomery police have arrested two suspect believed to be involved in a shooting that took place in August 2025.Â
According to WSFA, Tony Hawthorne Jr. and Ernest Charles Jackson have been implicated in an alleged conspiracy to murder Rodriquez Goodwyn.
Hawthorne was charged with attempted murder and Jackson was charged with felony solicit murder.Â
Goodwyn was shot in the area of Mill Street on Aug. 26, 2025 before being taken to a hospital where he was placed in a medically induced coma. Some time later he identified Hawthorne as the one who shot him.Â
After his arrest Hawthorne confessed that he was hired to kill Goodwyn and had shot him that day. Jackson was later arrested.Â
Both were placed at the Montgomery Detention Facility.Â
