Montgomery Whitewater is now a Rescue 3 Certified Training Facility for swiftwater rescue, said an announcement from the City of Montgomery.

This marks Whitewater as being one of six controlled swiftwater rescue training sites in the U.S.

A partnership was formed with Rescue 3 International and with support from a grant by the Mid-South RC&D.

"This designation strengthens our commitment to safety, education, and providing high-quality opportunities for first responders and organizations across the region," said an announcement from Montgomery Whitewater on social media.
