The Montgomery Police Department (MPD) held its National Police Week Memorial Ceremony on Thursday to honor those officers who have fallen in the line of duty.Â
"On behalf of the Montgomery Police Department, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us today for our National Police Week Memorial Ceremony," said the MPD's social media.Â
"Your presence and participation meant so much—not only to us but to the families, friends, and colleagues of those we honored."
The post stressed that the annual ceremony reminds everyone of the sacrifices that police often make in their careers.Â
"Honoring their legacy isn’t just a moment of reflection—it’s a continued commitment to upholding the values they stood for," it said.Â
