Staff at a hotel and spa were stunned by the arrival of an unexpected guest – a baby seal.

The young pup was spotted seeming unfazed by vehicles in the car park at The Quay Hotel and Spa at Conwy in Wales.

The four-star hotel said in their social media: "We had a very unexpected visitor pop by today.

"This little seal decided our parking lot looked like the perfect spot for a rest!

"While it gave us all a good smile, we made sure to do the right thing and reported it straight away.

"Huge shout-out to the British Divers Marine Life Rescue who came out quickly, saved the day, and safely took the seal to be checked over and cared for.

"A seal-iously memorable moment, and a happy ending thanks to the experts!"

The British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) arrived on the scene shortly after.

The rescue team carefully assessed the pup, ensuring it was healthy before safely transporting it to a specialist facility where it could be properly checked over and cared for.

The staff at the hotel confirmed that the pub is doing "well" and is back "where he belongs".

It happened on Friday.
