GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Nearly 50 antique military vehicles will make a stop in Great Falls on August 1, retracing Lewis & Clark’s 1805 westward exploration route.Â
The convoy features vehicles from WWI to the War on Terror.Â
Visitors can stop by the Walmart on 10th Avenue South to see the vehicles before they continue the very slow journey to the Pacific coast.
The convoy traveled through a very remote trail with beautiful panoramas along the way.Â
The 2,000 mile journey started in Bismarck, North Dakota and the end destination will conclude at Fort Stevens, Oregon.
More information on the rest of the journey can be found on the Military Vehicle Preservation Association website.
