A London family home is up for sale with a very secretive next-door neighbour - the embassy of North Korea.

The hermit nation's ambassador has lived at 73 Gunnersbury Avenue in leafy Ealing, West London, since 2003.

And the neighboring property, previously used as an Airbnb, has now hit the market.

The detached, four-bed house is available for nearly £1.7m - though the listing makes no mention of the unusual occupants on the other side of the fence.

The embassy of North Korea, said to have been bought for £1.3m, is largely unremarkable save for a large flag in the front garden.

Neighbours declined to comment on goings on at the property today (Wednesday).

Estate agents Grimshaw & Co. said online that the "elegant" for sale home is set over two floors and also has a large garden and garage.

The entrance hall features a fireplace and leads to two reception rooms, one of which has double doors opening out to the rear.

A kitchen, cloakroom, and utility room complete the ground floor, while upstairs there are four double bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The listing highlights the "potential for a large ground-floor extension and loft conversion," subject to the usual regulations.

The home was previously used as an Airbnb - with guests said to have been unaware of the neighbors.

It is unknown how much time current ambassador Choe Il spends at the embassy.
