HARLEM, Mont. - Harlem Public Schools will be implementing new security measures and increased police presence on campus after multiple reports last week of a student possessing a gun at school.Â
"The school administration was made aware of a potential threat of a student possessing a gun on the Harlem School campus," McGee said. "At least three students reported to a trusted adult having seen a fellow student possessing a handgun."Â
McGee said that the district is in full cooperation with law enforcement, and ensuring the safety of students is top priority.
"While we are limited in the details we can share to protect the integrity of the investigation, we want you to know that the situation has been contained and there is no ongoing, credible threat to the school," McGee said.Â
