A $25 million replica of the Infinity Gauntlet seen in Marvel films is up for auction.

The one-of-one piece, set with six real gems, is a tribute to the gauntlet worn by purple villain Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, in which he uses it to snap his fingers and wipe out half of all life in the universe.

It was unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con in 2022 and valued at $25 million at the time; however, Julien's Auctions has not released an estimate for the upcoming auction.

The replica, created by East Continental Gems, contains six real gemstones representing the Infinity Stones: a ruby, garnet, sapphire, amethyst, emerald and yellow diamond.

Ken Citron, chief executive officer of Julien's Auctions, said: "Every so often, an object comes along that doesn't fit neatly into any one category, and those are the ones that excite us.

"The Infinity Gauntlet is part fine jewelry, part tribute to the most celebrated saga in modern cinema, part cultural touchstone.

"Presenting it in Abu Dhabi, as part of the Pop Culture Legends auction, gives it a stage worthy of what it is: a true one-of-one."

The item will be offered at Julien's Pop Culture Legends Evening Sale at Rosewood Abu Dhabi on Dec. 8.
