Inside the free NYC exhibit exploring Snoopy’s legacy in fashion

He's the top dog for a reason.

Pop culture's most endearing beagle, Snoopy, is being celebrated with a "Snoopy in Style NYC" exhibition that has captivated fans of all generations.

To coincide with the 75th anniversary of "Peanuts" and New York Fashion Week, Snoopy-lovers can see him in top designer duds such as Valentino, Giambattista Valli, Gucci, Willy Chavarria, Gap Studio by Zac Posen, LUAR and more. His partner in crime Woodstock is equally stylish.

Curated by the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center, the exhibit features 10 immersive experiences that show Snoopy's impact across pop culture, fashion, sports, and music. 

A love for tennis: 

In one section, we see "Peanuts" creator Charles M. Schulz's love for tennis and how he incorporated the sport into his iconic comic strip in 1951. 

Snoopy even sports a custom Gucci outfit that would be perfect for the U.S. Open.

A strong fashion game: 

In another section, Snoopy and Woodstock plush dolls appear in custom looks that will give fashionistas a run for their money.

Some highlights include Snoopy in a custom Knicks jacket by Jeff Hamilton, a streetwear outfit by Chavarria, a head-to-toe leather look from Coach, a fringe sequin gown by Area and an effortlessly cool tracksuit from Adidas. 

Snoopy is also a high-fashion dog, stealing the show in a colorful Valentino gown designed by Alessandro Michele and a gorgeous haute couture pleated umbrella hat and cape by Robert Wun. 

Joe Cool's listening lounge: 

Music is an important component in the Peanuts' world. The lounge offers a zen vibe where fans can enjoy soft jazz and learn about the relationship between famed jazz musician Vince Guaraldi and the "Peanuts." 

To top it all off, Snoopy's alter ego Joe Cool, a laid-back college student, can be seen in a DJ booth with Gibson electric guitars decorating the walls. 

The gift shop is the place most fans run to first once they're inside. There's something for everyone, from Snoopy keychains, books, apparel, mini totes and more. 

Are the 3+ hour-long lines worth the wait? The bottom line is yes. The 16,000-square-foot exhibition instantly transforms people into Schulz's world, reminding them that Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the gang are here to stay.

As one fan in line put it, "Snoopy brings everyone together. He's the greatest of all time." 

This must-see exhibit is free to the public, and it's open now until September 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 25 Little West 12th Street, New York, New York.
