‘Psychic’ blind Jack Russel predicts England will beat Argentina

A “psychic” blind Jack Russell has correctly predicted every World Cup match result so far and has picked England to beat Argentina today.

Countless England supporters are hoping for a triumphant evening for the squad in Atlanta, US, today, but one dog owner is convinced Harry Kane and the team will claim victory after her dog “predicted it.”

Jane O’Donald, 59, said she knows her dog Cyril is psychic "because he is blind", so she wanted to put it to the test this World Cup.

Jane puts two gravy bones in front of the 12-year-old Jack Russell, and lets him decide who will win.

This morning, Cyril walked straight to the bone for England, predicting that Thomas Tuchel’s team will be triumphant tonight.

Jane, from Henley-on-Thames, said: “Cyril has been completely blind since he was two-years-old as he had no blood supply to his retina’s, and then this year he had to have one of his eyes removed following an infection.

“Since he now only has one eye, he has earned the nickname Cyclops Cyril.

“Now he just potters around at home, but because he is blind we obviously think he is psychic.

“We got very excited about this World Cup so this is the first time we have put his psychic abilities to the test.

“Gravy bones are his favourite, so we put two on the floor equidistant, each assigned to a team for the game of the day, and to make it fair they’re both the same type of biscuit.

“Cyril has triumphed in this World Cup, he has got every single game right so far.

“Last night I thought he had blown it because he went for Spain, but when the results came in it confirmed it.”

This morning, Jane was excited to see Cyril’s prediction.

In the video, though Cyril is closer to the threat on Argentina, he moves straight over to the England treat to lock in his prediction.

She told Sell Us Your Story: “He went straight for England, it was so exciting.”

Jane has four dogs, but Cyril is the only one that possesses psychic abilities, she says.

She said: “I’ve got four dogs and Cyril is the oldest.

“The other dogs are hopeless because they can see.”
