Montana Athletics is receiving a $3 million gift from the estate of Gary J. Dunn through his widow, Judy Rigler Dunn.

MISSOULA, Mont. — Montana Athletics is receiving a $3 million gift from the estate of Gary J. Dunn through his widow, Judy Rigler Dunn.

The gift will fund Grizzly softball, Lady Griz basketball and Montana football.

Gary Dunn, a Helena native and longtime Griz fan, passed away in March at the age of 74.

He traveled to Missoula from Helena for every football game and didn't miss any of Montana's eight national championship appearances as a fan.

The gift from his estate will fund multiple endeavors, including upgrading the infrastructure at Grizzly Softball Field.
