As efforts continue to provide relief from the financial impact of COVID-19, the Small Business Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program has resumed accepting applications for loans to small businesses.

Applications for the program resumed on Monday following the passage of a bill that authorized an addition of $310 billion, according to media reports. The Alabama Bankers Association reported that an estimate of $3.8 billion were loaned to Alabama businesses.

The program aims to assist small business owners employing 500 or fewer workers with 1% interest loans. Additional details about the program and how to apply for it can be seen here.
