The Perry County Commission has been awarded a number of grants to go toward road and building projects that are anticipated to take place in late 2024 and early 2025.Â
According to an announcement on Commission Chairman Albert Turner Jr.'s social media the following projects will be:Â
Perry County Courthouse roof and air conditioning work - estimated $200,000
Reverend John Ward Road resurfacing - estimated $180,000
Extension curb at Brown Street in Uniontown - estimated $5,000
Water extension on Highway 183 to Chilton County - estimated $1.4 million
Springhill Church Road resurfacing - estimated $135,000
Green Hill, Callie Red Hill, and Cosby-Heard Hill water extension - estimated $10,000
Groundbreaking for Johnny L. Flowers Highway Garage - estimated $1.5 millionÂ
Coretta Scott King Memorial Highway pipe repair in Marion - estimated $9,000
Signage installation at the Judge Richard Avery Courthouse Annex - estimated $2,500
Road repair on the Apostolic Way off Alabama 5 North - estimated $35,000
