A farm in Perry County is on the cutting edge of the farm-to-table movement.

BDA Farm is a 6,000-acre, community-based farm on County Road 183 in Perry County.

Customers, including 20 restaurants, can get delivery of fresh products to their door, or they can visit the farm and take it home.

BDA Farm grows a variety of vegetables using regenerative agriculture. Instead of using chemical fertilizers and “throwing them out there and hoping they work,” regenerative farming allows natural processes to put the needed nutrients – the fungi, the bacteria, the things we can’t see that live off organic matter – into the soil, according to farm representative Lucas Ramirez.
