Car crash stock

A pedestrian from Reform in Pickens County died after a single vehicle accident in Tuscaloosa County on Wednesday morning. 

A statement from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency identified the victim as Jennifer S. Fields, 46. At approximately 8:35 a.m. Fields was struck by a vehicle being driven by Destiny S. Hopkins, 27, of Tuscaloosa. 

Fields was taken to a medical center in Tuscaloosa but later died of her injuries. 

The accident is said to have taken place on U.S. 82 near the 33 mile marker, approximately 11 miles west of Northport, said ALEA's report. 

Troopers from the Highway Patrol Division of ALEA continue to investigate the incident.
