A man from Plantersville died in a traffic accident on Alabama 219 on Friday morning, said a report from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).Â
At around 9:10 a.m. Leonard E. Parten Jr., 59, was driving a 1992 Ford F-150 pickup that left the road before striking a tree. According to the report he was not using a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident took place near the seven mile marker approximately three miles north of Selma.Â
