Press conference to be held on Jesse Jackson appreciation on Bloody Sunday anniversary

A press conference will be held on Friday Selma Bridge Crossing Jubilee and the Selma to Montgomery March Commemoration Foundation at the Edmund Pettus Bridge to provide information about special appreciations of the recently passed Rev. Jesse Jackson. 

There will also be updates about confirmed national speakers for the Martin & Coretta King Unity Breakfast and at the Bridge on March 8, and other events during the Selma Bridge Crossing Jubilee.

The commemoration and celebration of the 61st anniversary of Bloody Sunday, the Selma to Montgomery March, and the enactment of the 1965 Voting Rights Act will take place on March 5-8. 

The press conference will take place on the Selma side of the bridge at 10 a.m.
