R.B. Hudson's Cicely Curtis is among two other finalists for the Middle School Principal of the Year Award sponsored by the Alabama Association of Secondary School Principals (AASSP).Â
AASSP is an affiliate association of the Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools or CLAS. The award is also being sponsored by Horace Mann, which provides auto insurance for teachers.Â
The other two principals chosen as finalists were Dr. Larry Haynes of Oak Mountain Middle School and April McCutcheon of Buckhorn Middle School.Â
A Principal of the Year selection committee interviewed the finalists at the 2021 AASSP/AAMSP Fall Conference, held on Nov. 9.Â
The overall winner will be announced in January 2022.Â

EVENING...
* WINDS...Northeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 21 percent.
* IMPACTS...The combination of a dry air mass and windy
conditions will result in critical fire weather conditions.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
