Sabra Sanctuary will hold a candlelight vigil titled "Be the Light" for domestic abuse victims at ArtsRevive Pocket Park on Thursday, Oct. 28.

Sabra Sanctuary is an outreach group for women who have been victimized by domestic violence, offering services, education and temporary shelter.

"The Candlelight Vigil is a time of sadness, mourning, celebration and hope," Sabra states on its Facebook page. "We are sad these lives were taken far too early, we mourn the beautiful spirits that are no longer with us, and we celebrate the joy and love these victims brought to our world.

"We maintain our strong hope and determination that through our work and commitment, we WILL one day end the crime of domestic violence."

The vigil will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the park, which is located at 3 Church Street in Selma.
