A bicyclist from Selma died on Tuesday morning after being struck by a car, said a statement from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).Â
The accident took place at approximately 4 a.m. Johnny R. Brown, 61, of Selma, was riding a bicycle that was struck by a 1997 Toyota Corolla being driven by Walter J. Bell, 60, of Jones.Â
Brown was taken to the Vaughan Regional Medical Center but later died of his injuries.Â
The accident reportedly took place on Alabama 14 near the 118 mile marker, approximately two miles west of Selma.Â
