The City of Selma is applying for funding through the Emergency Supplemental Historic Preservation Fund to repair historic buildings that were damaged by a tornado that struck on Jan. 12, 2023.Â
Those who own historic buildings that need financial assistance are asked to fill out a Property Owner Consent Form at this link. Applicants will be asked to select the Old Town, Ice Town, Riverview, Water Avenue, and Selma Universities districts or individual designation.Â
"This is a critical step in helping Selma access these much-needed preservation funds," said the City of Selma on social media. "Together, we can ensure Selma’s historic legacy remains strong for future generations."
