A man from Selma has been arrested on several charges related to sodomy, rape and sexual abuse of a child, said an announcement from the Selma Police Department on Friday.Â
The suspect's name has been released as Adam William Hart. According to the announcement, Selma police located Hart in Florida using a false name after assistance from the Department of Human Resources.Â
Levy County Sheriff's Office took Hart into custody on April 25. Afterwards he was taken into custody by the Selma Police Department.Â
Hart has been charged with two counts of first degree sodomy, one count of second degree sodomy, one count second degree rape and one count of sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years old.Â
"The Selma Police Department would like to thank the Levy County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Human Resources for their assistance in this case," noted the department on social media.Â
