A Selma man was killed in a traffic crash involving an unknown driver and car, said a report from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA). 

Michael S. Hatfield, 41, was identified as the victim who died after being struck by the vehicle and others at around 10 p.m. on Aug. 25. His body was taken to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences to identify him. 

The crash reportedly took place on U.S. 80 near the 91 mile marker, approximately three miles east of Selma. 

Anyone who has information on the unknown driver is asked to contact ALEA at 205-553-5531.
