The Selma Water Works and Sewer Board is asking residents to conserve water until a water main leak can be resolved.

Residents are also asked to limit the use of outdoor faucets and irrigation systems.

Areas affected include Alabama Highway 219 from Alabama Highway 22 West to Highway 80 to the bypass and areas north of it, as well as Medical Parkway East to Bell Road.

Those who experience low water pressure, have brown water, or a leak are asked to call the board's office at 334-431-7600.

If the leak is not resolved by Wednesday, further restrictions may be implemented, said an announcement from the board.
