Rep. Terri Sewell (AL-07) is taking applications for internships for her Washington D.C. and district offices during the spring 2026 season.

Sewell's offices are looking for college students and recent graduates interested in government and public service.

“Interns play a key role in my office,” said Sewell in an announcement. “Each semester, our interns work alongside me and my staff to serve the people of Alabama’s 7th Congressional District. Through this experience, they build practical skills, gain firsthand insight into public service, and form connections that help prepare them for their careers. If you have an interest in government and public service, I encourage you to apply!”

Interns will research legislation, draft letters, compile media clips, answer constituent calls, and attend legislative hearings, briefings, and seminars. They should demonstrate strong writing and oral communication skills, the ability to multitask, attention to detail, and be willing to learn.

The deadline for applications is Jan. 5, 2026 at 5 p.m. CST (6 p.m. EST).
