The SaveOurselves Movement for Justice and Democracy (SOS) will meet on Thursday for a press conference on the steps of the Alabama State House in Montgomery to speak on numerous issues facing Alabamians.

"Thursday is the 97th anniversary of the birth of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who dedicated his life to addressing problems we are directly facing today," said a press release from SOS. "Every issue is a voting issue, because voting is the one right that protects all rights."

Topics will cover health care, food security, voting, care for children and seniors, immigration, education, economic opportunity, and other issues.

The press conference will be held from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. The Alabama State House is located at 11 South Union Street.
