Samkwang, an automotive supplier from South Korea, has signed a lease to set up shop at the REAL Park in Tuskegee.

A press release from Arrow Strategy Group stated that Farpoint Development recently signed the company to occupy the industrial facility near I-85 spanning 168,000 square feet.

The location is expected to create "hundreds" of jobs for the local community.

"We have gotten to know the corporate and local Samkwang team, and we know that this will be a great partnership going forward," said Macon County Economic Development Authority Director Joe Turnham. "With our great I-85 location coupled with such a professional REAL Park team, this is an outstanding outcome for new jobs and prosperity for our area.”

Samkwang manufactures and supplies to Kia and Hyundai, which has business in Montgomery. The company also manufactures electronics for multiple companies, including Samsung.
