Storms shelters in Dallas County are open on Wednesday as the threat of inclement weather continues through the afternoon and through Thursday morning. 

An updated graphic from the Dallas County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) puts part of the Black Belt under an enhanced risk for storms between 3 p.m. and 6 a.m. 

Threats include possible tornados, winds gusting up to 60 mph, and large hail. 

The following shelters will be available in case of emergencies: 

Burnsville (behind VFD): 8609 Alabama Highway 14E

Orrville (behind Keith High school):1274 Co Rd 115

Tipton: 2534 Brown Street

Valley Grande (Horse Arena): 3271 Co Rd 65

Southside (behind Field house): 7975 U S Hwy 80E

Plantersville: 530 Pecan Road

Selma City shelter: 1609 J L Chestnut Ave
