A ceremony to rename Union Street after Civil Rights activist Bernard LaFayette, Jr. will be held today at 4:30 p.m. 

A native of Tampa, FL, LaFayette later went on to become active in the Civil Rights Movement and helped to organize demonstrations in Selma.
