Rep. Terri Sewell (AL-07) will tour the newly completed storm shelter in Moundville on Monday, June 16 at 11:30 a.m.Â
"The facility will provide a safe location for residents to seek shelter during severe storms," said an announcement from Sewell's office on Thursday. "It is one of many projects made possible by the $42.8 million in direct funding that Rep. Sewell secured in the Fiscal Year 2023 government funding package to make Alabama communities safer and stronger."
Sewell will be joined by officials for the tour at the shelter's location on 36 Jackson Avenue.Â
