The Town of Pine Apple will host its annual Hunter Appreciation Day Festival on Saturday, Nov. 29.Â
There will be live music, vendors, artwork, home and garden goods, woodworking, baked goods, and food trucks among other features.Â
The Antique Car Show and Parade will be held at 12 p.m. Cars will line up at 11 a.m. at Moore Academy School, with the parade to proceed toward downtown at noon. The entry fee is $30.Â
The Les Moorer Memorial Big Buck and Big Hog Contest will be held from dusk to dawn. Final scoring will be at 6:45 p.m. and the winners announced at 7 p.m.Â
Big Buck winners will be selected based on the Buckmaster Scoring System, with other divisions to be judged by weight. Deer and hog entries will need to be harvested on this date.Â
Registration is $30 and must be completed before 8 p.m. on Nov. 28.Â
Prizes include $500 for Big Buck First Place, $150 for Big Buck Second Place, $250 for ladies, $150 for juveniles, and $250 Big Hog.
