The Troy Fire Department is set to receive a new 100-foot ladder truck sometime this summer.

According to The Troy Messenger, the truck was purchased for $1.9 million in 2023. The department currently has a 75-foot ladder truck.

The new truck will be able to reach greater heights for buildings during emergency situations. It has a bucket on the back to help in rescue and dual water ways to disperse water in two directions.

It is speculated that the truck will help the department gain a greater ISO rating. it is currently rated a 2 but the best rating is a 1.

It is expected to come to the department in mid-August.
