Troy University was recognized as being among the best regional universities in the Southeast by U.S. News and World Report, said an announcement on Tuesday.
Troy was listed in U.S. News and World Report’s 2025 Best Colleges rankings, taking the 48th rank and 19th among public regional universities in the Southeast.
It also ranked 21st in Best Colleges for Veterans and 47th among Best Value School – Regional Universities South.
The announcement from Troy said that the rankings were based on graduation and retention rates, social mobility, graduation rate performance, undergraduate academic reputation, student-faculty ratio, and faculty resources.
Troy was among close to 1,500 U.S. colleges and universities to be assessed.
“At Troy University, the most important thing we do is serve our students,” said Chancellor Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr. “I believe our commitment to quality academics and affordability, along with the culture of caring that exists at TROY, resonates well with our students and continues to bring national recognition from organizations such as U.S. News & World Report.”
