Monday is a big day for Selma city government.
The new mayor and city council will be inaugurated during a ceremony at noon at Selma High School. Attendance is limited due to COVID and will be live streamed on Facebook.
The newly elected Selma City Council was scheduled to hold its Organizational Meeting at the Selma City Hall Chambers at City Hall on Broad Street at 3 p.m. but it was postponed.
The rescheduled organizational meeting will include election of the City Council President Pro Tempore, establishment of Rules and Procedures of the City Council, continuation of Positions and Employees Under City Council’s Authority to Appoint and establishment of Time and Place to Hold City Council Meetings.
