A tornado watch has been issued for Dallas County until 8 p.m., a post from the Dallas County Emergency Management says.Â
A map from the Weather Forecast Office shows part of Dallas County under an enhanced risk of tornados and severe weather and another part under a moderate risk.Â
Weather forecasts for today say that much of Alabama will experience severe weather, including hail, strong winds, and tornados for parts of the state.
Residents are advised to stay updated with weather reports as they are made.Â
The Dallas County Emergency Management says that all storm shelters are open.Â
