A woman from Valley Grande died during a two-vehicle crash on Friday afternoon in Perry County, said a statement from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. 

According to the statement, Deborah S. Browder, 69, was killed when the 2006 Hyundai Accent she was driving collided head-on with a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 driven by Donna M. McDaniel, 58, from Vance.

The statement said that Browder was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene while McDaniel was injured and airlifted to a medical center in Tuscaloosa for treatment.

The crash reportedly took place on Alabama 219 near the 18 mile marker approximately 15 miles north of Selma, in Perry County.
