Vaughan Regional Medical Center (VRMC) has presented its annual Healthcare Scholarships to 12 applicants from Dallas, Perry and Wilcox counties.Â
To be eligible applicants must be enrolled full-time in a healthcare field or program at a college or university.Â
VRMC's Auxiliary will honor the winners at a reception on May 9 at 1:30 p.m. in the MOB classroom on the first floor of the Medical Towers next to the hospital.Â
"The scholarship program exemplifies our unwavering commitment to fostering health education and supporting outstanding students in their pursuit of academic excellence," said a press release from VRMC.Â
The winners are the following:Â
Aidan Barnes from Dallas County (University of Alabama)Â
Jai Calhoun from Dallas County (Wallace Community College Selma)Â
Mariama Drammeh from Dallas County (University of Alabama Birmingham)Â
Lakai Gipson from Perry County (Jacksonville State University)Â
