We Care Caravan will visit Selma this Saturday for a community rally with the SaveOurselves (SOS) Movement for Justice and Democracy at the Civil Rights Memorial Park on the foot of the Montgomery side of the Edmund Pettus Bridge.
Sponsored by SOS the caravan addresses issues such as voting rights, Medicare, Medicaid, health care, education, and SNAP among others as they affect citizens in the state.
The rally will begin at 9 a.m. followed by a caravan in which cars, trucks, motorcycles and other vehicles are welcomed to join as they travel through neighborhoods.
“Every time we drive through our communities, we’re sending a clear message: we care. We care about our children, our elders, and the right to vote that protects all other rights,” said SOS Co-Chair Hank Sanders. “This is about meeting people where they are, hearing from them, and making sure they know their voices matter.”
