The White Hall Entertainment casino in Hayneville has been closed down after a raid by Lowndes County Authorities believing the establishment to be running illegal gaming machines.

According to WSFA, a complaint was filed by the State of Alabama with the Lowndes County Circuit Court to have White Hall be declared a public nuisance and enforce a restraining order.

Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall’s office alleged that there were more than 600 illegal slot machines in operation at White Hall.

Assets that were reportedly involved with White Hall have been frozen, including Cornerstone Community Outreach, Winter Sky LLC, White Sands Technology LLC, BB23 LLC, and R&J Holding Company, Inc.

State Sen. Robert Stewart representing Lowndes County expressed concern about employees who will not be working there during the holiday season if it remains closed and hoped that the establishment can be kept open.
