Willow Phillips praised for 25 years working with women in the county jail

Willow Phillips is joined by her husband Jerry as the County Commission presents her a plaque in appreciation for her 25 years of service.

After 25 years working with the women in the county jail, Willow Phillips is retiring.

At the Nov. 8 County Commission meeting, both the Commission and the Sheriff’s Department gave her plaques thanking her for her years of service.

All the commissioners and Probate Judge Jimmy Nunn expressed their appreciation for Phillips and the hard work she has done over the years. Commissioner Vivian Rogers said when she had a ministry serving the prisoners, Phillips was instrumental in making the ministry successful.
