The Blackbelt Benefit Group hosted their annual Rockin’ Rib Off on Saturday in downtown Selma and filled Water Avenue with music and the smell of barbecue.

This year, nine teams competed for Best Ribs in Selma by cooking all day and presenting their ribs to local judges. They also fed the hundreds of attendees there for good food and live music from bands and songwriters from across the state who played on two stages all day.

Proceeds went toward tornado relief efforts to bring Selma back after a destructive tornado ripped through the center of town on Jan. 12.
