Selma police investigating murder of 37-year-old man

Selma police are investigating the homicide of a 37-year-old man who was killed on Friday. 

According to WAKA, the victim, Titus Chaney, was shot at the 100 block of Alabama Avenue. The shooting injured another who was treated and released. 

Two bystanders, Brittney Morton and Danny Jackson, Jr., said that they witnessed Chaney arguing with an ex-girlfriend. 

The argument reportedly escalated into a somewhat physical confrontation where the ex-girlfriend's purse was dropped and a gun fell out. She then allegedly used the gun to shoot Chaney multiple times. 

Chaney's mother, Pauline, is pleading to make the suspect's appearance known to the public and for her to be apprehended.
