Mizzou tennis announced Wednesday it will compete at three tournaments during its 2025 fall slate, leading off at the Husker Invitational in Lincoln, Nebraska, from September 26-28.

The squad will also make trips to Norman, Oklahoma, to play in the ITA Fall Regional Championship, and San Diego to take on the San Diego State Aztecs to close out its preseason.

These three tournaments will be the first look at the team headed by interim coach Silvia Chinellato, who takes over for the departed Bianca Turati. Mizzou’s revamped roster is centered around senior Andrea Artimedi, who finished last season with a 10-9 singles record and won five SEC doubles matches with four different partners.

There are plenty of new faces on the team this year, including sophomore transfer Julie Bedard from Auburn, and grad student Michelle Kleynerman from Boston University. Kleynerman is joined by her sister Jenna, who committed to Mizzou after Michelle transferred. She is one-half of the Tigers’ freshman class that also includes five-star recruit Alex Ackman, who hails from Stuart, Florida, and was ranked No. 59 in the country by Babolat Recruiting.

Of the new additions, the elder Kleynerman has the most experience. She competed at the No. 1 spot for Boston University during some of the 2023-2024 season, although she didn’t play in the spring last season.

The Tigers will look to use the fall schedule to figure out their lineups and tune up for the spring season, where they finished 13-15 last season, including a 2-13 mark in the Southeastern Conference.
